We need your help today to ensure that blind and partially sighted Canadians aren’t missing access to books and information in formats they can read. Here’s a list of things you can do!
The most important thing you can do is to send an online letter asking Canada’s Prime Minister and your Premier to dedicate funding to accessible library services. It’s easy: just use the template letter we’ve provided for you, or customize your message to tell them why this issue is so important to you personally.
Let everyone know you support this vital human rights issue, and ask them to join you in advocating for public funding for accessible library services. Select this link to email your family and friends about this campaign.
Become a fan of CNIB on Facebook, where you can get the latest updates from our Right to Read campaign, connect with other fans and advocates, participate in discussions and debates, and much more.
Do you, or someone you love, need reading materials in accessible formats? If so, we want to hear your story! Email us at righttoread@cnib.ca and tell us why the right to read is such an important issue to you. We may be in touch to ask if we can share your story with other campaign supporters. We look forward to hearing from you!
